Students in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) often comment that international opportunities, research with faculty, and hands-on learning experiences outside the classroom are the best parts of their ÌÇÐÄviog¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ experience. Please join a group of CAS students and faculty in a panel discussion as they talk about the unique learning experiences they've engaged in. This event will offer a college overview and an opportunity to ask questions to CAS faculty and students. Join us for the opportunity to chat with members of the College of Arts & Sciences at ÌÇÐÄviog¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾. The College of Arts & Sciences offers a wide variety of academic majors, minors, and interdisciplinary programs, while also providing essential liberal arts access to all ÌÇÐÄviog¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ students. A hallmark of our college is the faculty’s ability to engage students interactively and experientially in teaching, research, and scholarship. At this important time of change in health and health care, ÌÇÐÄviog¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾'s College of Health will be the first college in the United States to offer an undergraduate degree in population health data science with a focus on health innovation and technology. This preview session provides an overview on: the emerging field of population health; the College's degree and certificate programs; experiential learning and research opportunities available to students; and, potential career trajectories after graduation. These college-specific sessions are open to all prospective students. On the Asa Packer campus you will find labs related to manufacturing, electronics, environmental systems, structures, microscopy, and fabrication. Think big in Fritz, or think nano in Whitaker. Take the opportunity to really immerse yourself in the ÌÇÐÄviog¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ engineering history as you see some of the most unique equipment on earth. Computer Science & Business (CSB) Information Session

These information sessions specific to the Computer Science and Business (CSB) program inform viewers about ÌÇÐÄviog¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾â€™s four-year integration of the study of computer science and the study of business in a single program. CSB prepares students not only for careers in software or business, but also for unique cross-cutting opportunities that require expertise in both computing and in business, including forensic accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and risk management. Information sessions on ÌÇÐÄviog¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾'s CSB program take place on select days throughout the year. Integrated Business and Engineering (IBE) is a highly selective, four-year interdisciplinary honors program that develops competencies in both engineering and business. This program recognizes the need for today’s leaders in business and industry to have a sound foundation in both commerce and technology. IBE prepares students to assume leadership roles in industrial research and development, entrepreneurial initiatives, management consulting, high-tech ventures, and innovative technology. Wilbur Powerhouse Design Lab Tour

Are you interested in hands-on learning opportunities? Do you have a passion for creating, inventing, and problem-solving in an independent environment? The tout state of the art 3D printing technologies, a new Electronics Design Studio with the ability to both breadboard circuits and create prototype PCB boards, as well as a Makerspace that includes everything from t-shirt printers to laser cutters to a waterjet.

Come see our Makerspace - Wilbur Powerhouse; hear from our Engineering faculty who are completing projects in that space this summer, and how they are integrating those into their classrooms. You will tour the space, see demonstrations of the projects, and can ask questions about what kinds of projects students are working on.

Are you interested in applying what you learn to real life challenges and projects? ÌÇÐÄviog¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾â€™s Center for Creative Inquiry supports students on exciting projects that have global impact.

ÌÇÐÄviog¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ knows that creating leads to deeper learning. Creating allows multiple intelligences to thrive because it necessitates the integration of learning, research, and engagement with a community of practice to construct knowledge, make meaning, address complex challenges...and create impact. This summer, 93 students from a variety of majors and colleges traveled to locations from India and Kazakhstan to San Francisco and the Philippines, to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world challenges through integrated learning, research and entrepreneurial engagement.
